Welcome to Cadars Chorley Club

We are located behind the bus station in the community centre, doors open from 7.00pm until 9.00pm.
Your first visit is free, and tea or coffee will be offered to you by our illustrious leader Nessie, chief cook and bottle washer, who runs the club with her husband, Ian, our vice chairman. You will easily spot him, he has the loudest voice.

If you decide to go in for your Ham Radio License, you will receive tuition from the book (Foundation Course), which you will need to purchase.
The Foundation Course book costs £5, you will receive tuition  until you are competent to take the exam.

You will also get an appreciation of morse code with one of our tutors, all exams can be sat at the centre as we are a RSGB Exam Centre.

The club has a free and open atmosphere.  Simple rules. Annual membership is £7.50.

On occasions,  the club has events and talks. .

From our weekly raffle and Tea/Coffee and external events like the Norbreck Rally, where we have a stall and help setup
tables, we have saved  enough money to buy club Radios for you to practice on with guidance of other radio hams..

There are a few Radio Hams buying and selling radios    Ask at the club before going out to buy anything, you could get a good deal.
We look forward to seeing  you, from Nessie, Ian and all the club members.
